About Me
I have written two books, The Masha and The Q Stone, and am working on a third. In addition to writing, I started carving wood as a creative outlet. Eventually I experimented by painting accents on some pieces. This lead to painting on canvas. I’ve tried oils, but I often employ thicker textures in my paintings and lack the patience for the increased drying time added to what already seemed too long. Acrylics it is.
I built a workshop for carving and painting. My favorites ladies suggested an eyebrow in the loft with a stained glass window. And just like that I was hooked and started working with stained glass. I now carve, paint, work with stained glass, and combine them in projects.
I enjoy hiking and camping. I used to go hunting, but do most of that in the grocery stores nowadays. I still like to fish, but admit it was more fun when there weren’t as many “don’t eat the fish” warning signs.
My older brother got me interested in photography and gave me my first camera, an Olympus OM-1N, which gave its last on a mountain in Norway. Now I take photos around Wilmington and sometimes find inspiration with my Fuji X-T20.
